The European Union comprises the following 27 member states: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom.
 Much legislation (Regulations and Directives) is common throughout the EU. However, there are exceptions as the United Kingdom, Ireland, Sweden Norway and Malta where special conditions are required, such as additional analysis (blood tests) etc.
 For all the other destinations, the only document required for the shipment is the EUROPEAN PASSPORT, issued by the local State Sanitary Veterinary Direction.
 As a general rule, the animal (dog or cat) must be identified with a microchip or tattoo and has to be vaccinated for rabies at least 30 days before the journey.
